If you enjoy a vigorous workout, Stone Steps Beach is the place for you. Every morning finds local residents running or walking these 95 stairs from the bluff-top to the beach every morning offering breathtaking views of the ocean the entire way. At high tide you will find the ocean lapping the bottom of the stairs and at low tide sandy beach is 100 to 200 wide. The quiet one-way neighborhood street of Neptune Avenue is home to some of San Diego?s most famous people, and is a wonderful place to take a jog.
