Why Travel?

Travel takes as long as it takes - no more and no less.

Why travel? Some people travel because they feel life is not a dress rehearsal, but its the Super Bowl; only one chance to do it right! Others subscribe to the motto Carpe Diem, seize the day! Still others have a lust for seeing unusual things, experiencing other cultures.

CNN.com reported that experiences, in the long run, make people happier than possessions. because the short-term thrill of purchasing new things (a car, new clothes, furniture) quickly fades. Experiences, on the other hand, create memories and often happy ones that remain long after the event has occurred.

Experiences also provide a sense of relatedness to others, shared memories and moments in time. There is nothing like a shared adventure to bring you closer to friends and family. Experiences also offer a greater sense of vitality, of being alive. Think back to a past trip or travel adventure. Whatever it was, I'll bet you're smiling right now, just reminiscing about it.
