Welcome to my boutique Inn at Moonlight Beach Bed and Breakfast overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Encinitas (one of the best neighborhoods in America according to Men's Journal). I'm your hostess, Ann Dunham. We're located on a hillside overlooking Moonlight Beach (just two blocks away - no other San Diego Bed & Breakfasts are closer to the ocean than ours). My rooms and suites recall a lovely French-European Seaside Inn. Each morning I bake warm-from-the-oven pastries for you to enjoy with your home-made breakfast (included in your stay). All this, yet my prices are $50 - $75 less than similar accommodations even though the Inn is closer to the Pacific Ocean than other Cardiff By The Sea hotels in Encinitas. Every one of my rooms and suites are smoke-free, newly decorated, ultra-fresh and spotlessly clean, equipped with comfy queen or king beds, wi-fi internet, refrigerator, cable TV and a spotless private bathroom. Make yourself at home in our sunny breakfast room with fireplace (we call it our Sunroom) any time during the day or evening. Use our computer to check email and print your boarding passes. See photos and rates of our rooms and suites. Because our rates are so reasonable and we're so close to the beach, we are generally booked at least several weeks in advance. At sunrise you can walk along the beach for miles in either direction, or walk through our lost-in-the 1960's beach-town of Encintas, then return for a free, delicious, home-made breakfast. World famous Swami's Beach is just a fifteen minute walk down Moonlight Beach.

Return to the Inn and relax with a cup of fresh, hot Starbucks coffee and the morning newspaper in our Encinitas breakfast sunroom or enjoy your breakfast outside in the sunshine next to our soothing waterfall. Sunset is a special time at Moonlight Beach. Encinitas locals (surfers, beach-goers, children, bicycle-riders, business men and women) gather at the beaches for every sunset. It's a lovely ritual at a special time of day. Dolphin and whales are regularly seen, especially from the "high-bluff" beach entrances at Swami's Beach, Stone Steps Beach and Beacon's Beach.
